About Us

The Roth name has been a part of the Atlantic City area since the late 1800's, when the funeral home was opened by Edwin Roth's grandfather. Edwin's father, Abe, followed in his father's footsteps and took over in the early 1900s, changing the name to Abe L. Roth Funeral Home.

It was in 1949, Abe renamed the funeral home, Abe L. Roth and Son Memorial Chapel, when his son, Edwin J. Roth, became a licensed funeral director in the state of New Jersey. Edwin operated the funeral home for many years, and stayed with the company until his death in 2007.
In 1958, construction began at the current location at Pacific and New Hampshire Avenues, and the name changed to Roth Memorial Chapel. The original chapel was on what is now the parking lot for the funeral home.

Roth Memorial Chapel merged with Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Raphael Sacks of Philadelphia in April of 1995, to form a new corporation, Roth-Goldsteins' Memorial Chapel, LLC. Eric Goldstein became the Managing partner and helped with the family's expansion to the Jersey Shore.

The funeral home is now operated by Eric and Jason Goldstein. In 2016, after 21 years as Manager, Eric installed Jason to become the company's second Managing partner, instilling the family's future in the Atlantic City area.

Roth-Goldsteins' continues to uphold the personal care and standards set by Edwin and his family, while including the values and traditions of the Goldstein family that have been around since their inception in 1944.
